Position Title: Full-Time Epoxy Floor Technician

Location: Chittenden County, Vermont

Reports To: General Manager

Garage Outfitters / A&G Seamless Floors is one of the largest residential and commercial seamless flooring contractors in the area. We currently have an opening for a highly capable Epoxy Flooring Technician. The person must have fantastic organizational skills, a strong positive attitude, and must be teachable and self-motivated. This is a full-time position in our Williston, Vermont location.


Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED. College degree is preferred.

Other Requirements: Legal and physical ability to drive company vehicles.

Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Flooring experience is preferred but not mandatory; experience in any construction trade is strongly preferred
  • An understanding of customer service and a service business
  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the floor coatings industry
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans, sketches, visual instructions and layouts

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow directions/instructions from job lead and general manager, toward learning proper floor preparation techniques, seamless flooring application and general floor technician duties
  • Responsible for consistent punctuality at beginning of day and for on-time arrival at job sites
  • Prepare floor surfaces for installation or repair of seamless floor coverings
  • Apply concrete repair products over floor to repair and prepare floor to accept new coating
  • Apply coatings with trowel, squeegee, roller or other methods, following guidelines and timelines to ensure quality
  • Finish and refinish various types of concrete and wood floors with grinders, sanders and cleaning equipment; apply sealers, coatings and floor waxes as required
  • Perform other work as required in support of general maintenance activity
  • Collaborate with the office staff, operations and field technicians to make sure that what the customer has been sold is exactly what the customer is getting
  • Research and stay current on relevant industries and industry information by reading manuals, periodicals and trade magazines
  • Recognize and solve problems proactively
